Our Work in Boulder

  • Community Impact

We are connected to Boulder through active and ongoing investment. We believe we have a responsibility to have a positive effect in all we do—as a good neighbor, community advocate and environmental steward. Our community impact is far-reaching: from charitable giving to employee volunteering to tax payments and spending with Boulder businesses to energy efficiency and renewable energy programs.

Xcel Energy’s Colorado Day of Service 2015

At the fifth annual Day of Service in Colorado on Sept. 12, over 2,700 Xcel Energy employees, their family members and friends, and Xcel Energy customers gave more than 8,100 volunteer hours at nearly 60 nonprofits. In a new development, volunteers took part in a social media contest to help their favorite nonprofits have a chance to win one of six grants (totaling $20,000) from the Xcel Energy Foundation.
